Clematis ‘Rosemoor’

Planted in fall 2007, these clematis (three of them, ridiculously expensive) did not bloom last year, and in fact were so spindly and insignficant, I nearly gave up on them. D insisted they would survive and thrive. He was right! (as usual). I keep running out in the garden to stare at and photograph these blooms in different light. I have yet to capture the phenomenal colors – plum, wine, purple, magenta all shimmering on iridescent, velvety petals.
ahhh.
