Good morning, dear friends! I bring you rose petals to strew along your path this Saturday with some scenes from the luscious flower markets of Paris.
Such a joy to turn a corner and stumble upon a rainbow array of blooms, right out on the street.
Roses, of course, in the City of Love, are the favorite.
But all manner of garden and house plants are available, too.
Even David Austin roses (nearly $5.00 per stem!).
The artful arrangements are pure visual inspiration.
I hope you enjoyed this little tour – much more to come very soon.
So many projects underway right now! May I ask your assistance on one of them?
I’m finalizing the designs on my 2012 calendars (yes, already!) and would love to know which subjects appeal to you most. No obligation but if you do take a moment to comment, could you include your top choices from the below? Just the numbers would be wonderful. And feel free to suggest anything I might have missed. Thank you so much and have a flower-filled weekend!
xo – g
1. Paris
2. Monet’s Garden
3. David Austin Roses
4. French Country Roses
5. Peonies
6. Ranunculus
7. Midnight in Paris (recent night shots)

A Rosy Note says
Ohhh look at how beautiful they all are! How is it that everything is so much prettier there?! Europeans have such a wonderful way of displaying and arranging things in a manner that is appealing to the eyes, don't you think? As for your calender…I like peonies, ranunculus and Paris.

I always find it interesting to visit flower markets when travelling even though I cannot take any away with me. As for subjects for calenders, each an every one you list would make beautiful subjects, I think I would opt for one that gave me the most variety so 9,then 1 I think. Though it always takes ma ages to decide on which calenders to buy!

Just beautiful! Vance and I have enjoyed both yours and David's photographs this morning. We remember the first time we saw the flower markets in Germany, Holland and Paris. Amazed we could have fresh, beautiful flowers in our home all the time. We walked and biked everywhere. Thank you for renewing our memories time and again with your stunning photography. Vance is finishing my little Casita Studio this afternoon. My framed photographs of Picardy, France shall be hung in a special place to remind me to always create from the heart. Thank you Georgianna.

Aaahhh – My daughter introduced me to your site some time ago and I have dreamed over it for too long, too often. I just love it – it is just soul music to me. Will get around to ordering from you when I get organised. Even when I am offline, I leave this page up so I can dream over it occasionally! And 'waste'(?!) more time! But such lovely wastefulness!
You had a comment elsewhere about a magazine from Australia using one of your pics on the cover – 'Burke's Backyard'. I live in Australia and buy that mag and think the rose must be one of his favourite flowers as he often features them. I have taken to checking who had supplied the pics he uses. I had never thought about how that worked before – even though my daughter is a professional photographer – yes, the one who gave me your blog address. She takes very good but a very a different type of pictures
Thankyou Georgianna Barb

These photos from the Paris Flower Market looks so beautiful. I've always dreamt of walking through such markets. Gotta love the first one of the roses in the little aluminium pots. If I were you, I'd prolly buy all of 'em there! They're really gorgeous, and as per usual, wonderful photos you've got. I'm sure they capture the beauty as in from the flower market. :)
It's good to have you back, G! I, too, have been really busy with work and everything else that's been happening. But fingers crossed I'll be back more active in the blogging world soon. ;)
Have a great weekend, love. Sending love from Malaysia! xx

Hello,
I visited your blog today – I saw you on Poppi Linn. Your photos are so lovely. I admired all the roses, especially the RED ONES, and if you go to our blog, you will see why. Me and my daughters are interested in Photography also. I used to work as a Photographer for a short while, and my daughter is an Intern for one right now. We just started a new blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would really enjoy coming back to visit with you and seeing all your beautiful creative photos. I hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.

I adore markets in general and flower markets in particular;) As to the calendar – ranunculus, peonies, Paris and Gardens of the world:)
Relyn says
Oh my! I love ALL the calendar ideas. It would be so hard to narrow it down, but of course, I must say my two favorite flower peonies and ranunculus. I do have a suggestion, though. What if you didn't do a theme calendar? What if you did a calendar that was the best of Georgianna Lane? You know, all hearts and roses, and Paris and gardens and love and Christmas – you know.. Just a thought.
Also, I totally love the Carnival idea. But then, I have a thing for carnivals.
