Hello, friends! Today I’m sharing a brand-new podcast interview I just did with my dear London friend, Miranda Mills. She is the founder and host of one of my favorite podcasts called Tea and Tattle, which celebrates creative women and their success and includes conversations about books, culture and the artistic journey.
In this new interview, I share my own history with London and what I loved most about creating London in Bloom. I also offer helpful insights as to why authors should develop the skills to do their own marketing and publicity, why pre-orders matter so much in today’s publishing industry and how to gain momentum around the launch of your book. It’s a perfect transition into spring since the magnolia blossoms are just starting to open all over London and the city will be fully “in bloom” again very soon!
This is my second interview with Miranda, the first being on the New York in Bloom launch, which you can listen to here.
I highly recommend a regular visit to the Tea and Tattle Podcast website, where you’ll find over 100 fantastic interviews with women authors and business owners. Miranda is an excellent interviewer and a joy to listen to. And her own delightful blog, Miranda’s Notebook, is a wonderful compendium of all things London – sightseeing, museums, restaurants and, of course, book reviews and bookshops.
I hope you enjoy listening to my interview and that you find it inspiring and insightful!
with love,
G
p.s. you can still pre-order London in Bloom until March 16 and receive the two free gifts of a signed print and signed bookplate, as well as being entered into the drawing for a free three-night stay in London with London Perfect Rentals. All details here.
