Announcing an exclusive, small-group floral photography workshop in Paris, France,
taught by author and professional floral photographer Georgianna Lane.
What: The workshop will be a fully immersive learning experience based on the techniques and workflow of a successful, full-time professional floral photographer.
Overview: Included are four full days of instruction, inspiration and hands-on experience sourcing, styling and photographing flowers in a variety of indoor settings and outdoor locations.
We will also study technical aspects of exposure, depth of field, natural and artificial lighting, composition, camera settings, lenses and accessories needed to create gorgeous floral images.
When: April 6th – 9th 2017
Where: The workshop will be held in Paris, France, in a stunning luxury property with a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower.
Who is the workshop designed for:
Skill Level: Intermediate and above (please note: this is not a beginning photography instructional workshop).
To gain the full benefits of this course, attendees should have:
– A good, basic working knowledge of their camera, preferably DSLR or mirrorless with interchangeable lenses, and have a basic knowledge of editing and digital imaging workflow. It is not necessary to know how to shoot in manual mode as this will be covered as part of the workshop training.
– A tripod and macro lens are recommended.
– A strong desire to study professional-level skills in floral photography.
– A desire to learn how to develop their own style and raise their general photography to a higher level
– An interest in learning the basics of selling and licensing, marketing, branding and presenting their photography work

What is included:
1. 4 full days of classes including instruction in floral styling and photography, field trips to our favorite flower markets, photo projects, business and marketing advice, portfolio review and critique. Hands-on photography projects and practical exercises. Technical instruction in exposure, depth of field, natural and artificial lighting, creative composition, camera settings, lenses and accessories needed to create gorgeous floral images.
2. All materials, flowers, necessary equipment and floristry tools.
3. Transport within Paris to flower markets and shoot locations.
4. Buffet breakfast and beverages each morning catered by our favorite boulangerie. (Dietary restrictions will be catered to.)
5. Luncheons each day, snacks and all beverages.
6. Farewell dinner and champagne reception under the twinkling Eiffel Tower lights on the final night.
7. Individual portfolio review and critique as well as one-on-one instruction and troubleshooting.
8. Welcome gift bag of Paris luxury brand items.
9. Field trips to Georgianna’s favorite florists and outdoor shoot locations in Paris.
What is not included:
1. Travel to and from Paris, France; airport or station transfers to the workshop location.

For convenience, it is recommended that attendees stay in or near the 7th arrondissement where the workshop will take place.

Georgianna Lane is a widely published author and photographer with a passion for flowers, travel and the beautiful city of Paris, where she spends part of each year.
