In 1495, the French Ambassador to Venice called the Grand Canal “the most beautiful street in the world.” Beautiful, unique and mesmerizing to this day.
Have a beautiful weekend, dear friends. I will be back on Sunday with the wrap up to Venice Week and a very special surprise.
much love,
G

Since you mentioned me being the first one to comment all week (you seem to post just as I sit down at my desk, checking mail and blogs) I thought I better continue today! ;-)
These photos are so stunning, I love the colouring and the architecture. You are showing off Venice in its very best light! Have a lovely weekend xo

Indeed it is! Love your shots of Venice and how YOU saw it. Love that place, though next time I go it will have to be during a cooler time of the year.

thank you.

I have loved this series of photos that you have shared with us. When I was younger the only places I wanted to visit was Wales, Scotland and England. I didn’t even want to visit the other states here in the US. Thanks to the internet and the beautiful work of people like you there is a much longer list of places I would like to see. Venice is now added to the list. :-)
ps…I love the texture in these photos!

Venice as a watercolour…beautiful photos, as always, georgianna. My faves being the top pic and the gondolier, an unusual view. Well done!
As to the floods, I’m glad you have captured these magnificent scenes; they may be all that is left for the future, the way things are going! Thank you! :O)
