Just outside of Paris lies a sumptuous rose garden, the Roseraie de l’Haÿ. Founded by Jules Gravereaux in 1894, it features over 3,000 rose bushes on nearly 4 acres.
A visit in the third week of May rewards you with romantic views of roses cascading over trellises, archways and pergolas.
I adore these classic French latticed structures. Their elegance and symmetry are the perfect counterpoint to the tumbling riot of roses.
Fountains, sculptures and curving gravel paths punctuate the many plantings.
At the end of your tour among the blooms, a lovely tea shop on premises welcomes you for a refreshing treat to end a most delightful spring outing.

Wow, wow, wow! That is a spectacular place. I want to know how they get the independent columns to grow like that. Without wild shoots going everywhere. Thanks for sharing.
