Hello friends! I seem to see photos of ranunculus everywhere these days and, since we all love them, I thought join in again and share a few more from my recent shoots. What is it we so love about these sweet flowers?

I’ve been setting up and transferring files to my new 27″ iMac which I already love for its beauty, elegance and speed. And D and I got our new iPads which are so gorgeous and tremendous fun but which I also foresee becoming vital production tools.
And blossoms abound, so I’m torn between my lovely new tech devices indoors and my camera and the exploding spring outdoors.
But, in a few days I’ll be leaving it all behind to go on the road (D will be here holding the fort), first meeting my brother in Atlanta to spend a few days driving the Antebellum Trail and visiting and photographing Savannah. Then I’ll be meeting up with Flickr friends Tina and Kelly, photographing more of the area, including Beaufort and on to Charleston. (I’d love any advice you have on what to see and do in the Low Country, as it’s called.)
I’ve scheduled some posts ahead and plan to stay in touch while traveling, via here, Facebook and Twitter. (I just downloaded a nifty app called Zapd which makes mini websites that you can post directly from your iPhone or iPad so I hope to try out some of those as well so you can follow along on the trip.)
Lastly, thank you all for your wonderful comments and welcome to new followers. I hope you enjoy your visits here.
Wishing you a very beautiful week.

Hi G
I think ranunculus are a favourite because of how similar they are to roses in appearance. I love the first photo where you've inserted the butterflies.
Sounds like an exciting few weeks ahead for you and I hope you find time to play with your new toys!
Judith
Perhaps what is so striking about this flower is its sheer "showiness." It seems so relaxed in form, lacy and feminine. I must get some for my garden! Have fun on your trip and be safe.

Hi Georgianna,
Beautiful photos as always! You are going to love Charleston-so many beautiful gardens and home etc. We went to Middleton Place and loved it but every home in the historic district has a garden.
When we went last year there were house and garden tours that I went on and it was April when we went-no cameras were allowed inside but in the garden was okay.
I can't wait to see the photos you take there.
Enjoy your trip!
Carolyn

Hi Georgianna, April already and spring is definitely with us. Thankyou for sharing more delightful photos with us. Safe travels.
I think ranunculus are one of the prettiest flowers to photograph.
As always, your photos are beautiful and inspiring!
Lucky, lucky Tina and Kelly. I am a little bit jealous.
Hi georgianna, so great to be back and see your incredible work.. I love your colours and composition and of course the ranunculus.. So beautiful. Carla xx
Ranunculus, and lisianthus, are such favourite flowers to photograph. The colours are soft and most suitable for the soft light-filled look you give them. Beautiful work! :oD
