Hello, dear friends! How have you all been? I have returned from my long-planned photographic journey to the Southern United States, where I found beauty, history, stunning locations and friendship far beyond my imaginings. Perfect weather, spring bloom and wonderful company made it hardly seem like work.
We’d planned to spend an hour or two in Madison but stayed the entire day, walking the back roads, taking photographs and dining too well on traditional Southern fried chicken with sweet potatoes and peach cobbler before heading out of town toward Savannah. We vowed to return to Madison one day.
I have certainly missed you all. Thank you so much for your comments on my last post – I hope you have been well and can’t wait to catch up on your adventures. See you in a day or so with much more!
love,
– g

So much pink! Its beautiful! What a wonderful place to take a working holiday, I can see how it would not seem like work at all. Even with walking without a camera, a place as beautiful as this would soothe even the most savage soul.
Our spring is finally blossoming here, I have photos still on my camera to go through. Its like saving the memories of all this spring for dark and dreary winter days. I am looking forward to seeing more of your travels!!

No one no one can do what you do with a camera. No one but my friend, G, can bring me south like where we used to live in Alabama and even though this is a different place make me feel that southern Spring. These are breathtaking and it gives such peace in every petal. Thanks dear. Blessings.

I am so sorry that I've been out of touch and so super sorry that I missed you while you were down here but I understand that you were really busy. Madison is only 95 miles from us :( But after seeing your gorgeous photos, you've inspired me to visit there so thank you! :) I will admit that I've peeked in at your blog from time to time over the past several weeks but haven't taken the time to write. I feel bad that I haven't replied to your message from January yet. This move has been a little rough on me, I got us unpacked really quickly but I'm still trying to get settled and get back into the groove of things. Georgia is ok but I'm really not happy here. I miss Colorado so much and I have moments every now and then when I find something beautiful in the area to gush over but part of my heart is in Colorado and I think it will stay there until we return someday :( Sorry to vent like that, I just wanted to let you know what's been going on lately. Please keep your posts and photos coming, they're still as inspirational to me as always and it's a special treat for me to sit here and smile at my computer screen while reading one of your posts and viewing your stunning photos! :) I hope all is well, take care!!

Georgianna, your visit to Georgia and the South has such an unbelievably beautiful start, I can hardly wait to see what other beautiful images you capture! Last week I watched the Civil War documentary by Ken Burns, which made me appreciate the difficult times experienced by our country and those heart-wrenching images were crowding my head until I saw your beautiful visions tonight. I love the history and natural beauty combined. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely work with the world!
