beneath still frosted earth,
tiny growth inviting second glances
the year travels on,
while you beguile with love and sweet romances
Dear friends,
Winter seems to have tightened its grip on many of you this week. Stay safe and warm, please.
Some links for your weekend:
• Occasionally I’m asked to do a book review so I thought I’d start a separate page for those. I’d love it if you take a peek at the first one, which is on Jacqueline deMontravel’s newest book Hers. I was honored to be asked – as many of you may know, Ms. deMontravel is the Editor of Romantic Homes magazine and a great inspiration to all of us who love beautiful imagery. (You can also reach this page through the link on the sidebar.)
• I’m gearing up to start sending out a newsletter in which I plan to announce specials, some tips and tricks, new releases and more. It would be so much fun to have you be part of it! You can sign up here, or click the link in the sidebar.
• And lastly, for a sometimes classic and sometimes humorous look at Parisian statuary, there is a new post up at Paris by Two.
Sunshine and warm temps this weekend in Seattle, so a walk around Green Lake and a bit of gardening have been added to the agenda. What do you have planned? Hope it’s wonderful.
with love,
– g

Hello G
I am going to enjoy reading your newsletter. Today, DH and I walked for @ an hour this morning, came home and had coffee then laid around the pool for a couple of hours. Gosh, I love retired life and spending a month in Florida.
Oh yes, there's a hot tub that is nice and hot for sore muscles – all the comforts of home. :-)

It is a bitterly cold day here in Italy so I am staying warm and cosy by the fire and catching up on my blog reading. I thought you said I was the busy one, you seem to be juggling a lot of things here as well! I will of course be signing up for the forthcoming newsletter.

It snowed here in England last night–quite magical, since I was staying out in the countryside at a manor house with 4 girlfriends for the weekend! I'll enjoy February and its beauty, but it will be exciting for spring to visit us soon.

When I opened up your blog this afternoon, did you hear me sigh. Everything looks so lovely Georgianna. Is it any wonder that Romantic Home Magazine's editor is a friend of yours? I just signed up for your newsletter and I'll be following the links. I believe our typical snowy winters here in New England have gone to Europe. It has been one of the mildest winter's on record here. I do miss the snow, but not when it is causing havoc.
I am so thankful I found your blog it is the prettiest respite, and I love the idea of learning tips on photography.

That is beautiful. I have yellow forsythia but I have never seen white one, maybe they are not so common in Finland as yellow ones. Is there little peak of pink forsythia in left corner too!?

Lovely photo, G! February's gonna be an exciting one for me, I hope. Anticipating interviews as I already have one next week on Valentine's Day! So I'm definitely keeping my fingers crossed for a good outcome. Other than that, I'll also be celebrating my 5th anniversary with the boy! It's surely an eventful month ahead of me.
Keep warm and take care, G! Hope all's well with you. Much love. x
