Narcissus “Sweetness”, Narcissus “Cheerfulness”, Vinca minor (Periwinkle) and Syringa vulgaris (lilac).
Our woodland garden beauties are awakening, slowly, gently.
Narcissus “Tete a Tete” (above), with its tiny yellow trumpet, is always among the first, along with crocus and helleborus.
(Although the lilac is not blooming yet. These images are from an extensive shoot I did last year featuring spring woodland flowers, all of them from our garden.)
The garden will claim more and more of my attention as the weeks unfold and the plants unfurl their magic. But the main activity this week is preparing for my show on the 24th. Wouldn’t it be grand if ALL of you could attend? We’re going to have a fabulous time!
Many thanks for the wonderful feedback on the first issue of the newsletter! I’m so pleased you enjoyed the downloads and goodies. And thanks especially to those of you who filled out the e-course survey – your answers are invaluable. (If you haven’t and would like to, you can here.)
Wishing you many opportunities for tea and bright flowers this week.

p. s. I believe I neglected to mention last week the most recent post at Paris By Two. Enjoy!
Its so nice to see the evidence of Spring popping up everywhere. Trees with buds forming, green shoots of daffodils and tulips growing and crocus and snowdrops here and there. Lately with our crazy weather one has to hope they survive the hail and snow we have had for the past few days. These are lovely. I love the little bits of lilac here, I wait all year for my tree to bloom and it never lasts long enough! And Tea tastes delicious when it is served in a beautiful teacup, doesn't it!!
Spring's almost here — which means even more of your photos to look forward to! xo
BEAUTIFUL! I really love the teacup in the hands…
Hi Georgianna,
I am so envious that spring is starting for you! Even though it was 59 degrees here (in Maine) today, our bulbs are still a couple of weeks away. But it was so nice for you to share your lovely spring photos! I so enjoyed getting an eyeful of some narcissus, lilac and grape hyacinth! Your blog is always a pleasure!
Thanks for sharing,
Kelly

Hello Georgianna
An arrangement in a teacup is always a favourite category in the garden club design competitions. Yours is exquisite with the flowers used and the teacup is a perfect compliment to spring.
I do wish I could be at your show and hope you have a great time at it.
Judith
Dear Georgianna, This may be the prettiest ever, but then I say that about every one of your photographs, Beautiful!

My garden is calling too. I've been doing the prep work (cleaning up old autumn leaves, pulling weeds, etc) but I'm really looking forward to actually planting! The weather has been so fickle though, it's hard to know if we'll have any other frosts. ::Jill
Beautiful spring flowers G.! We're having a very mild March and I've noticed tiny green shoots poking through the earth … I can't wait to get out there! :)
Best of luck with your show this weekend! So wish I could be there.
Congratulations on your newsletter as well … it was a joy to receive.

So lovely Georgianna! :) Love all the spring flowers. They are finally here too. I just need some better weather to go out and capture them. :) The show sounds so exciting. Hope you'll share everything with us here. Have a great weekend! xoxo
Simply beautiful! We call these daffodils in the South. They speak happiness to me. Thank you for making me smile today, G, but then you always do. Your photos of nature are always a gift.
Thank you so much, Bev. Lovely to hear from you and I look forward to you visiting again. Let me know next time how to reach you directly. best, Georgianna
Such a wonderful and fresh selection, beautifully presented. Wish I could visit you for your Trunk Show, but, I'm a bit too far away (Melbourne, Australia). I think the slideshow of Paris pix would be most genial. Good luck! :oD
Won't be long until your show now! Best of luck to you. I have a tea cup and saucer in this pattern but not filled with all the beautiful flowers that are in yours. Maybe I should get mine out and "flower it up."
What beautiful vignettes Georgianna.
oh G. So much beauty here . I love to visit and enjoy so much of what you share.
Thank you for sharing.

I did get the Book with you in it. Just beautiful. Congratulations once again.
You inspire me greatly.
xo Hugs . Happy Gardening.
an absolutely majestic performance!
Hi G,
After two weeks away from blogland, I'm just starting to catch up. I see that you've been dishing out loveliness during that time :) Gorgeous spring color in this post…I'm sooooo jealous, as there isn't anything blooming here. Thanks for sending some spring out into the world!
While on vacation, I was able to visit a bookstore and purchase Artful Blogging. Your article was just perfect – I would expect no less from you. The images and text were equally eloquent, with helpful advise for bloggers.
As always, your inspiration is a gift! Thank you.
xo~ Anna
Simply superb…
I would LOVE to go to your show ! Hope you're going to have a wonderful time !
So lovely…. and the perfect tea cup for it too. Is it too late to sign up for the newsletter?
