I’ve been nearly bursting to share this for months and today is the day! I’m skipping in the sunshine to announce my creative collaboration with Erin Benzakein, the brilliant floral designer and owner of Floret Flower Farm. Erin’s floral wizardry leaves me speechless and her exuberant, crazy, flower-filled life is a whirling dance with sweet peas and roses and all things flowery, as documented on her addictive blog. An organic farm, Floret is in the beautiful Skagit Valley, an hour north of us, so I decided to contact Erin. We met, we planned, we plotted and now we’re on a high-energy, petal-strewn adventure to create amazing images that showcase our work and celebrate the endless beauty and magic of flowers.
Could any thing be more exquisite than this bouquet she created?
Recently, along with our model, Deanna, we spent a sun-drenched afternoon and evening at a neighboring farm, complete with weathered barn, tractor, farm truck, chickens, Shetland ponies and authentic, rustic atmosphere..
We hope that you like the images – this is just one of many shoots that we’ve worked on over the last several months so you’ll be seeing more very soon. And do visit Erin’s blog for even more floral abundance. Thank you, Erin and Deanna for everything you did to make it so much fun.

So beautiful, Georgianna, especially the last one … has you done this with a Lensbaby?
It’s like a dream come true for your photography skills and Erins floral skills! The two of you compliment one another perfectly. I can’t think of another shoot you’ve done with a model, hmmmm . . . . This is definitely the start of something! Next I’ll have to go check out Erins blog.
Btw, I was wondering, if it isn’t to much trouble, if you could possibly add a place on your blog so I (and others) could subscribe to your posts. Lately I’ve been very lax about checking Google Reader so I’m a bit behind. Time to catch up! Have a good Sunday!
Sharon

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Erin’s work before. Her style is my favorite style in arranging flowers. The stunning bouquet she made and you brilliantly photographed makes me want to grab my brushes and paint! So, so inspiring ladies! Thank you.
xoxo
This post is absolutely gorgeous. That bouquet is stunning, and your photographs are beautiful.

The minute I saw that bouquet, I thought it was spectacular! There’s something about traditional flower arrangements that have often turned me off. It’s the “FTD look”, kind of a stiff and unnatural appearance. Well, it looks like Erin has the magic touch! And you can capture the beauty of her designs perfectly. I can’t wait to see more!
This was such a fun adventure, Georgianna. The pictures are amazing!
Oh WOW!!! And omg, there were PONIES TOO? NOT FAIR!!!!!!!!!!! :D
