Thinking of each of you, dear friends, at this turning of the season. I hope you are very well.
Recently, while working on new images, I noticed a leaning toward cool, somewhat moody, blues, linking these otherwise random-themed photos. Perhaps they’re a reminder of the darkening days or the mild panic they induce, alerting one to the coming end of the year and the oh-so-incomplete project lists. Or inspiring a wistful look back at the days now past.
Whatever the association, I found them calming, and a refreshing counterpoint to the abundance of green and red and gold.
To my American friends, I wish you and yours a wonderful day of gratitude and appreciation on Thanksgiving.
(And, although I haven’t had much chance to announce them, my 2014 calendars are in the shop and, as always, for you, at a 20% discount.) (coupon code: CAL20)
Hope you have a beautiful weekend ahead.
much love,
G

Such cool beautiful blues all strung together brining a calming and peaceful breath of fresh air. Loving the fairy lights most of all, and wishing I could open that door in Paris and walk right in….
Wonder what we would find…..

It’s Thanksgiving Day, and our family eats an early dinner instead of lunch. Just now there is a lull between the hectic preparations and all the guests arriving for the meal. I wanted to take some of that time to visit my blogging friends. I needed to say thank you. Thank you for the inspiration you provide here in your place and for the comments you leave behind when you visit mine. Happy Thanksgiving, friend.

Dear Georgianna,
there are some images that elegant, natural, artistic, suggest an immediate feeling of peace and calm, soothe the soul, and these are definitely the ones that I mean, wonderfully soothing and relaxing!
Do you know that almost every day I come and visit you here, but just this morning I find this post of yours ?!?
The server gave me still the previous one ! Incredible !
Happy to have found you and to be able to wish a lovely continuation of the week, I embrace you

I saw that Paris door and I immediately wanted to be there — such wonderful design and architecture, which makes me so lonely in Australia’s somewhat banale style of building! Perhaps that door is bringing out my ‘creative’ side and need for beauty that is quite different from that here. Those fairy lights are bliss, and Cannon Beach, although seen many times elsewhere, doesn’t look as good as your dreamy version.
Hope you’ve been well. Thank you for visiting me during my down-time with cancer, ’tis much appreciated. Things are on the up! Best,

Absolutely beautiful images as usual Georgianna. I love the blue and that particular blue fits so well in the classical setting. I also love blue and silver at Christmas, so cool and ethereal and light. And I also love the vibrancy and energy in the vivid reds and greens and gold at this time of year – lots of fun!
Happy Christmas to you and yours
Love Barb
