Hola, friends!
Posting from the road today, currently in sunny Viña del Mar, Chile, after spending last weekend in Santiago with my wonderful friend María Cecilia at her stunning home in the hills above the city. (If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you’ll have seen some of these images throughout the past week already.)
María Cecilia and I have been blogging friends for over three years and first met in person two years ago. We’ve always hoped to meet again for a longer visit (and to do some dedicated antique shopping). Last week I returned, spending several days in her beautiful mountain retreat. And with her expert advice and guidance through the maze of the Santiago flea market, I collected wonderful pieces for use in upcoming photo shoots. But the highlight was absolutely the time we spent together and I am very grateful for her kindness, generosity and joyful spirit. Many of you know her from her blog Casa Dulce Hogar and if not, you are in for a wonderful treat as you explore her breathtaking, rose-filled posts, all photographed at her exquisite house and garden. The serene and peaceful atmosphere she has created there is magical – soothing and rejuvenating. And her enthusiasm and energy are a pure delight. (More photos from my previous visit can be seen here. )
Thank you, Chichi, for sharing your beautiful world with me! Without the connections of blogging, I would not have met this lovely friend. She, and all of you, are so important in my life.
Wishing you each a wonderful week ahead.
Muchos cariños!

Hello G
The Maria Callas roses are exquisite, much like the music of this woman. I am still drooling over the pink rose with yellow tinged centre – do you know the name of it?
Your friend has a beautiful place and I can tell you had a good time shopping and relaxing.
I hope you have a great week yourself.

Hi Georgianna, just the post I needed! Makes me forget the grey and Autumny weather here. Gorgeous roses, really amazingly beautiful!!!! Your friend must have magical hands growing these roses and having them all look so beautiful. You made some great vintage buys as well! What a wonderful scenery your friend is surrounded with all the time, you must have had the best time there.

What a great place that must be to travel to and what a fabulous place to live! That house looks gorgeous. I’m still amazed at the possibilities blogging affords us and at how many friendships are formed through it, I guess that’s the hugely positive side of the internet. xo

Wow!!! Treasure, Georgianna!! =) And, I mean – flea market finds in an exotic place – a sanctuary of roses, roses, roses – or, really, what makes the other two pale – time spent with a wonderful friend!! Treasure!! =) and, by the way – those roses are so stunningly beautiful and even more so because of the brown wreck of our November world outside! ‘Exquisite’ is the word that was coming to mind as I looked at them. Am I going over the top? Well, that’s the refreshment I’m receiving this morning from your beautiful images! sigh. =)

I have read and re-read your post, observed several times all the far too beautiful photos of this wonderful world of which your friend Maria Cecilia has made you be part, and, believe me, I don’t know where to begin from .. I love roses, all the roses are for me expression of the highest and noblest feelings, vintage items, I love them because speak the language of the past, which jealously guard under a touch of sweetness, and I wonder what wonderful days you spent in such a lovely place !!
Thank, thanks so much for sharing such beauty.
Take care Georgianna ♡
