Dear friends, I’m writing this to you from our new apartment in Paris! David and I have envisioned and worked very hard toward realizing this moment for MANY years and I’m pinching myself that we finally have our dream location! In the 7th arrondissement, just at the edge of Saint Germain, this beautiful space will be not only our home but the international base for Georgianna Lane Studio and Parisian Moments (our joint brand).
Here is a quick snap of the salon. The light fixtures are being replaced with antique chandeliers that we purchased a few days ago. We may not have bedding and dishes, but we will have chandeliers. Priorities, yes?
The ceiling details are remarkable with cherubs, birds and lots of scrolls.
The apartment is on the fourth floor (5th floor US) and has four balconies, which will be used extensively in photo shoots, of course!
The new space will enable us to begin to move forward on launching many new book, print and lifestyle products that have been on the drawing board for a long time.
What does this all mean to the shops and our wonderful customers? Even though we have relocated permanently to Paris, very little will change on shipping and delivery of the items in the shops. We have spent several years setting up our global distribution partners so delivery costs will remain local to your area and delivery times will be as fast as ever. For the moment, I’ve had to suspend sales of my signed books as the shipping for them is too high from France. But we are working on solutions so that we can have stocks of signed books in different distribution centers and be able to offer them again.
All of this is with the intention of bringing you more of the beauty, charm and character of Paris, the French countryside and Europe in general. Thank you for your continued interest and support. We are so happy to have you along with us!
