Bonjour, friends! Spring has arrived early in Paris. I’ve spent the last week documenting the magnolias in bloom and they are at their most glorious at my favorite location, the Palais Royal. The sweet daffodils beneath the trees are also at their peak. I hope you can imagine walking through this lovely, peaceful garden yourselves, no matter where you are.
This beauty is so fleeting but it is my privilege to be here in Paris to capture it and to able to share it with you.
À bientôt!
xx

Breathtaking beauty needed to be seen now more than ever in view of the harshness of war torn Ukraine.

Thank you for bringing some beauty into what has been a dark and depressing day in my life. I look forward to the star magnolia and lilacs of my own soon to bloom in my front yard. Just a few years back I had to remove the gorgeous magnolia with it’s fragrant dinner plate size white blooms by my porch as it had been planted by previous owners much too close to my foundation. I miss it so much. Spring is on the way with my crocus in bloom and soon to follow the other colorful bulbs by my meandering stream. I can only imagine what the season brings in Paris!
You have captured it for sure!

Thank you for writing, Marie, and I’m so glad the photos brought you beauty. Lilacs and magnolias are such a beautiful combination and I’m happy that you have them to look forward to. Sending all positive thoughts to you.

So beautiful! Thank you G, for sharing all this with us! It always looks like Spring arrives early in Paris as I’ve seen your photos over the past years. Our trees are still bare here. But today was a nice warm day!
– P.S. Could you please delete my previous comment? I’m showing more info than I should! LOL

Hello, Caroline! I’m so glad you enjoyed the post. And yes, spring does seem to arrive early in Paris, definitely a bit earlier than London and much earlier than New York. And we had a very mild winter with little frost. Happy to hear you had a warm day as that always lifts the spirits. xx G

Thanks for the beautiful photos of magnolias in Paris. Here in eastern NC they were in bloom and then temperature dropped to 20f. No more blossoms. The cold killed the daffodil blooms also.
georgianna says
Hi Nancy, I’m very happy you enjoyed the photos. But what a shame about your magnolia blossoms. It’s sad when that happens. I wonder if the daffodils can recover? They are usually very tough. In any case, I hope spring is with you very soon. G
