Bonjour, friends!
March is not only the welcome herald of spring in the Northern Hemisphere, it is also the anniversary month for the launch of each of the Cities in Bloom Trilogy volumes. I’m extremely grateful to each of you who have purchased the books, given them as gifts and shared so widely on social media. As a result, they remain bestsellers in multiple categories with Paris in Bloom alone approaching 50,000 copies sold!
From now through May, I’ll be celebrating all the spring beauty in these cities with journal posts highlighting individual locations, new releases and a few surprise announcements.
As you know, an ongoing project is the release of your favorite images from the books as fine art prints. With Paris in Bloom nearly completed, I’ve been focusing on New York in Bloom and London in Bloom. I’ve been so anxious for the new prints to make their debut that I’ve put in some late nights and am thrilled that they are finally here! Each is taken directly from the books (along with one or two that didn’t make the final cut for the books but happily can now live as companion wall decor).
Each image is linked to the corresponding listing in the shop.
This was taken at Pilgrim Hill in Central Park. I absolutely adore the charming lampposts found throughout the Park. They are such a delightful feature.

These magnificent white cherries are found, appropriately, on Cherry Hill, overlooking The Lake in Central Park. In the distance you can see the iconic San Remo apartments.

Central Park is lush with magnolias and I’ve included the locations in the back of New York in Bloom for blossom hunters. Above “Evening Magnolias” and below “Magnolia Sunset”.

This beautiful grove of magnolias is at the Obelisk, just being the Museum of Modern Art. Due to a cold and late spring that year, the trees were not at peak bloom until the end of April but I visited them faithfully every few days for weeks to ensure I didn’t miss capturing them at the perfect moment.

And in case you missed it, I’ve just posted a tour here of the breathtaking magnolias last week at the Palais Royal in Paris. Enjoy!
