Bonjour, mes amis! The days are the darkest and gloomiest of the year but Paris is bright and sparkling with another season of breathtaking holiday decor. I am out every day documenting the beauty and here is the first installment of my annual December tour around the city.
First, and always a favorite, is the tree at the Musée Rodin. It’s hard to imagine a more beautiful setting, isn’t it?
One of the most talked about displays this year is the spectacular facade of Maison Dior on Avenue Montaigne. Each of the elements on the exterior was crafted and painted by hand. You can see my video coverage on Instagram here. (You do not need to log in or have an account to view. Just close the pop up window and you can see the video.)
The window displays at Dior are similarly enchanting and exquisitely crafted. Below, an imaginary Dior fashion show takes place in the fantasy location of a chateau garden.
These windows features the iconic Dior building and are filled with detailed miniatures the evoke the style and elegance of the brand.
And no less impressive is the display at Chanel on Rue Saint-Honoré. A huge ribbon of light, representing Chanel’s signature tweed, twinkles high above the street. You can see my video coverage here on Instagram. (You do not need to log in or have an account to view. Just close the pop up window and you can see the video.)
Here is this year’s tree in the cupola at Galeries Lafayette, celebrating their 130 year anniversary.
Always classy Ralph Lauren is just two blocks from our apartment, so I pass it almost every day.
Also near our apartment is the Angelina boutique, where you can get pastries and their world-famous hot chocolate to go!
At Place Vendôme, Louis Vuitton has installed a carousel based on their theme this year of exotic animals, including giraffes, antelope, ostriches, zebras and leopards.
The delectable treats at Laduree Bonaparte are always beautifully presented.
A new favorite this year is the enchanting display at Repetto on Rue de la Paix. Hundreds of yards of pink ribbon cascade in a lavish curtain framing three white swan tutus, inspiring the ballet dancer in all of us.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the tour and that you feel like you’ve stepped into the holiday spirt in Paris!
Wishing each of you the most beautiful season filled with love and joy. 💕🎄
À bientôt,

Lovely! Mike and I just spent a long weekend in London to see all the Christmas lights and decorations. As much as I enjoyed them, I think Paris puts a little extra panache on it. Thank you for sharing these! The Rodin tree is beautiful and I LOVE the Chanel bow.

Hi again, Linda, How wonderful that you had a long weekend in London for the holiday lights. Although, I’m not totally sure Paris has the edge over London. I find them equally enchanting, although Paris does have the flair, London is so vast with massive decorations! Both are incredible and we’re lucky to experience them. Happy Holidays!

Hi again, Rebecca! December is really a lovely month to visit. It never gets too cold here and the atmosphere is very festive all month, well into January, in fact!
