Bonjour! Yes, it’s true, I tend to be somewhat irrational, even silly, at peony season, as I’m sure many of you do, too. The season is so fleeting that one doesn’t want to waste a single chance to display and revel in these luscious floral beauties. I’ve always had the idea, just for fun, to fill our balconies with as many flowers as possible, to create an illusion of endless blooms, and decided that this was the year to do it! Multiple trips from the market with dozens of stems, some clever maneuvering in the fridge to keep them cool in the recent heat, commandeering every single vase and vessel I have, and voilà. (Because of the perspective, it’s a bit hard to capture all the flowers on the more distant balconies but this gives you an idea.) No real purpose here except to indulge in a bit of a fantasy scene and, as always, to create images to brighten your day. I hope you can pause, take a deep breath and enjoy!

À bientôt!

Hello, Jennie, and thank you! I’m really touched that the post brightened your morning and brought you joy and inspiration. That is my intention and knowing that it did brings ME joy, too.
Wishing you a safe and beautiful weekend.

Oh my goodness this is such a dream . I’ve always wanted to fill a room with peonies. The balconies look adorable I would love to love to be sitting amongst them . Delightful
Thank you, Norma! Very pleased to read that you enjoyed this and also that you envisioned filling a room with peonies. The balconies are lovely to sit out on when the weather is good. But I enjoy looking out on them every day, even in the rain. :)
What is not to LOVE about your breathtaking peony photos? Absolutely stunning.
The nicest way to start the day looking at the beauty you create.
Thank you, Ellen! Much appreciated, as always.
