Taken this morning with the sun lighting up these lanterns on the hydrangea walk. I’d put them up the day before as props for a “secret garden” photo shoot I was setting up, as requested by my English photo rep. As I was walking around the garden this morning, the light was about to come through the upper gate and I thought I’d shoot it once more, even though I had done so yesterday. And then it occurred to me that maybe I could catch the sun lighting the lanterns (which are just paper, with no light inside). And, Voilá! It worked!
A repeat of last night’s moon bath in the middle of the night, a quarter moon this time, around 3 am. Then a lovely clear sunrise at 6.
Gorgeous day, totally clear, not a single cloud in the sky or horizon. D and I spent the morning at Sea Tac Dahlias taking photos. Wonderful place.
This afternoon, took Mom and Les for a drive around Shilshole Marina (crowded!), to look at an incredible house on the water with a 180 degree view:
