… Or What You Will

Tonight we took a wee break to listen to the first act of the Arkangel production of Twelfth Night, sitting in the living room, the lights of our little live tree twinkling outside the window (I enjoy keep some special holiday decor through my birthday on the 9th).
The Arkangel project was a monumental undertaking to produce a fully-dramatized, audio version of each of Shakespeare’s 38 plays, unabridged. The producers gathered 400 notable actors of the British theatre for this landmark recording. And I must say, it is phenomenal!
Oh, and just how long is a recording of all 38 plays?
101 hours and 47 minutes.
That will keep us entertained through the winter, I’m sure!

Earlier today, prior to beginning to pack away ornaments and baubles,
I did some partly-for-fun and partly-for-client shooting of blingy bits and things to celebrate the 12th day of Christmas.

Then, was so happy to get out and spend time raking and tidying up the woodland garden. Our hellebores are beginning to show buds, some even blooms, and I want the surrounding area to be a suitable showcase for these precious stars of winter. The weather has been so nice, cool but not cold, and a bit brighter today than it has been.
A friend in London emailed me that it’s snowing hard there, just as he was leaving Fortnum and Mason. Mmm, a lovely tea with cakes at Fortnum’s sounds wonderful, doesn’t it? Is it snowing where you are?

Yes! Big beautiful snow. The magic, all-covering type. This was beautiful. The learning of the plays, must look into that! and, well, that "bling" as you put it, is like nothing I have seen. It is the perfect vessel for bottling laughter for a later day. You give me joy. Love to come here and thanks for the emails. I look forward to the post. Blessings friend.
I don't know of anyone who captures bokeh as beautifully as you! These photos are exquisite. Sounds like you've got something to keep you busy all winter and into spring!! Happy early Birthday! I'm normally late with my BD wishes, so glad I could be early with yours. ♥

Dearest Georgianna, where in all of the English lexicon does one even begin to find words that adequately convey the wondrous beauty that is your work…
These images are magical, elegant, and endearing gorgeous. They look as though they've plucked straight from the pages of a fairytale.
Immense thanks for your many wonderful comments and visits to Chronically Vintage, darling friend, each one is a gift.
Wishing you a splendid Friday & amazing weekend ahead!

Oooo you have brought back some sweet memories…Fortnum & Mason, snowing, tea…smiles.
I sincerely hope that your day (tomorrow) is filled with happy times! Birthday wishes…smiles.
Wow, my friends! You really overwhelm me with your beautiful and sweet comments. Each of you is such a bright spark in my life, it truly is a privilege to share a little of my world and hopefully give back some of the delight you bring to it.
Thank you also for the birthday wishes! This time last year I didn't know any of you so your presence alone is a gift worth celebrating!
love, – g ♥
Found you through the beautiful and sweet Kat..and I'm glad I did. Your blog is beautiful, your photography magical…
No snow here in Toronto — to speak of. It's been light dustings and I believe all of ours has been "shipped" to the UK by mistake. Mind you, it's only early January — plenty of time for mother nature to correct her weather patterns!
Thank you so much, Sherry! I look forward to visiting your blogs soon – busy day today! Yes, the weather has been very strange, my UK friends are just buried and frozen. Have a lovely day! – g
I just checked and GLORY BE!! my library has all the Arkangel productions. Thank you for telling me about them. We're starting with Twelfth Night, a little tribute to you.
Relyn, thank you so much for your delightful visits! Oh, gosh, we're thrilled you're staring with Twelfth Night! I look forward to hearing what you think of this recording. – g
