Three words we love.
And together forming the name of a place of vintage beauty and charm that D and I visited on Saturday, the first sunny day after a dreary succession of decidedly un-summery days.
Roses and barns and cows and antiques and garden delights aplenty.
And a sunny field brimming with old garden roses, scampering on trellises and clambering over arbors.
A delightful day out in the country!

And to that I will add a few more defining words for my week: weeding. cleaning. cooking. family. house guests. laughter. love. badminton. new hard drives. new software. new clients. busy. :)

Tremendous thanks to Claudia at Mockingbird Hill Cottage and Zuzu at A Cottage in the Woods who featured my work on their fabulous blogs this week. Thank you, ladies! Please visit them! And special thanks to new friend Brenda who seems to mastermind many lovely things behind the scenes in this blogging world.

And many thanks to all of you who visited and commented on my last post. We’ll launch Castles and Cottages this week, shall we, with a visit to a country manor associated with Anne Boleyn, and probably not the one that you think it might be!

Oh My, what an incredible place! I want to go along next time!! I especially adore the photo of the bird sign with the hooks, and is that a real little bird among the roses beneath it? Claudia and Brenda are such wonderful women and I've grown to love them through blogging. I’m so glad they’ve now found you too! Now I must run over and meet Zuzu! ♥

Wow, Georgianna – what a gorgeous place! Love all those roses, looks so pretty. :) And I love your vintage inspired processing. Perfect! No roses are flowering here at the moment but I think they'll start soon. Can't wait! Hope you will have time to relax a bit too. Have a great week! xo

The antique rose farm looks like such a fascinating place to visit – the scent must have been heavenly.
About my phototgraphy skills….I've taken a few classes to learn to use my Canon on manual but I seem to have a brain block and just use auto.
At least the camera knows the settings I need.:-)

I love that place! Been a few years since I went though. I'm afraid I'd want to buy a few more roses for the yard, but #1, I don't have any more room and #2, the deer like them too much!!
