Ah, a few more of these lovely ladies before they exit the stage for another year.
(Playing around with processing using some of the nifty new presets in Lightroom 3 – full of tremendous improvements over LR2 – including film grain and rounded corners, vignettes, and customizable watermarks, which really save time. Highly recommended.)
I’m so greatly appreciative of your visits and encouraging comments on the last post. It’s really delightful to share a topic we all love, isn’t it? And from all over the globe, including Finland, Canada, England, the Middle East, Ireland, Denmark, Malaysia, Italy and all around the States! My, what a wonderful world.

Well despite the terrible weather for our peonies this year, you got some wonderful looking blossoms.
Some of mine just rotted on the plant before even getting a chance to open. Just big brown ugly balls….yuck!
Wish they lasted longer!!!

Thank you everyone! Hope your trip is continuing to go well, Alely!
Alison, thank you so much and glad they loaded fine.
A, you will love Lightroom. Even though it has a few quirks, I can no longer function without it!
Thank you, Donna! I'm answering your email tonight or maybe the am, it's late here.
Sylvia, I know what you mean. My peony didn't bloom either. Just shriveled buds. These are mostly from a peony farm in Oregon we went to, as well as some from Pike Place Market.
Happy Sunday! xo

Don't forget Italy Georgiana! It is sad when beauty in nature lasts for such a short time, but at least there is usually the next flower to look forward to.

Oh wow Georgianna you have really posted some gorgeous peony shots lately. Love them all! I've been away to Denmark over the weekend and also had some busy weeks at work. But I hope I'll be back here on a more regular basis now. :) My peonies are just about to start blooming. Can't wait!
Take care! xo
