Thank you for your lovely words on the lavender shoot! I’m so happy you enjoyed the images and Winnie will be pleased, too.
I cut bundles and bundles of lavender at the farms which are now in vases around the house or drying in my kitchen, destined for the linen closet, mmmmm.
Loving every second of our perfect summer weather, with more on the way, we are out shooting on location, pruning the roses or stealing a nap in the garden. Hope you are doing the same!

How beautiful Georgianna! How beautiful! I think there's no place on earth I love more than England, and one of the reasosn why are just these cottages and their gardens…
BTW, I'm going on holiday in Denmark soon: have you ever been there? Any garden you can recomment I shouldn't miss to visit? There's plenty of castles, that's for sure! :)
Ciao!
(Thanks so much for your sweet comment about our new home! I'll need soon some your precious suggestion for the best flowers to match the color of the house!)

Beautiful roses–I can almost smell them. This summer has been hard on the flowers here near London–so much heat and not much rain. A change from past years.

i love how the red roses frame out the window and the decaying chunkiness of the shingles on the roof. i'll bet that the leaded glass must throw wonderful light into the home when the sun hits it. probably rainbows everywhere.
i love roses..(but i love lavender and lilacs more) ;)

The English do love their roses and have brought that dedication to Canada with them. The climbing roses you captured G are so pretty and the windows represent to me ideal cottage gardens.

They're such beautiful shots. Isn't it funny that I live in England, yet cannot find the time to leave the big city and venture into the country side for some inspiration… Ah well, I can always look at your lovely photos to see what's on my doorstep ;-) Love from London x
