A quick hello and wishes for a lovely week ahead. My weekend so far has involved lots of image editing, blog visits, gardening, dinner on the Edmonds waterfront with Mom last night and some much needed blog and Etsy tidy up.
But I had to stop to share this newest image with you as I know you love roses as much as I do. This is the first of many to come from our recent trip and I thought it would enjoy it. I’ve also made it available as a new print in my shop.
And while I was updating my poor neglected Etsy shop, I added some other summery images as well. (The Rose Arbour is available as an 8×12 and an 8×8, or any other size upon request.)
The Rose Arbour, A Fragrant Memory, Lavender Mist, Vintage Lavender
It’s August now, already, sniff, which makes me a bit melancholy. While it’s still July, I can pretend summer will last forever, but when the calender says August, each day is tinged with a bit of wistfulness, even though our Septembers are very summery with lots of lovely weather still to look forward to.
To cheer myself up, I’ve decided it would be fun to have my first ever SALE in my shop! For the month of August, any print in my shop, buy one, get one free. That’s it, simple and easy.
Since many of you have been generous and kind enough to purchase prints from me, I’m letting you know first. So, thank you for indulging a bit of self-promotion. (bow and curtsey)
p. s. Thank you for your sweet comments about Lee and Toni’s marriage. I know they’d be awfully embarrased but still, it’s a happy thing to share, isn’t it?

Can't say I would enjoy this summer Texas heat for much longer, but the arrival of August is always bittersweet for me too. Summer is so blissful and festive that I will miss it as it slips on by. Your picture of the arbour is absolutely lovely–I dream of beautiful places just like this.

Georgianna, I haven't visited in far too long. What gorgeous images you have to share of roses. My garden got so dry this summer that my roses suffered a bit, so it's nice to see an abundance of them. I feel the same way about August….the nights are starting to feel cool, like fall already.

A beautiful picture of the rose arbor. I find when August arrives Autumn is not far behind and that is my favorite season of the year. The wonderful colors against a very blue sky are perfect. Take care and have a lovely week.

Poetry and music are jealous of the beauty you capture in your lens, G. They will just have to try harder.
Happy day to you,
