An imagined romance, in a Left Bank apartment
of worn velvet and embroidered silks,
lace curtains, a view of The Seine
the smell of old books, the faint ticking of an ormulu clock
long ago rain on the sill

he always brought roses, voluptuous and fragrant
she always served cakes on small plates of flowers
they spoke of the country, and spring, and the future
while the fall of spent petals marked the passing of days

Les Roses Antiques (Antique Roses)

What do you think? I’ve gone a bit crazy with this, and had fun creating new things for my shop. You can see them all here.
Thank you so much for visiting and beautiful new week to you! More soon.

I think working on these IS practical!! ;o)
And definitely worth the effort – they are all beautiful pieces of art!
I have to learn how to take beautiful pictures and them work on them as you do… will it take too long, will I learn, is it difficult, do I need lots of stuff?? etc, etc….I think learning photography will be my next adventure from now on…
hugs dear Georgianna
Oh, but you've created such beauty for all of us–there's always "tomorrow" to do all the practical things that are calling out to you.

Hello Georgianna! Thanks for your congrats! I'm so happy! Your pic "Les Romantiques" is my absolutely favorite! I think YOU should have take a picture of my bridal bouquet! Hugs, caro!
Hi, I'm back from England and had the most wonderful time. Your roses always remind me of Granny's home, especially the one in the blue vase, we always had flowers around the house picked from the garden. When I was back home we went past Granny's house, they've changed it a fair bit but it was really special to be able to be there, walk in my old footsteps down the lane, see the same fields with the same trees and breath in that wonderful fresh Dorset air.. ahhh :) I've got my first photos up on my Blog. Take Care, Catherine x

Oh, G! Oh……….
Can I tell you something quickly? Your story – your dreamy little story has kept me dreaming all night long. I was blog hopping last night and was stunned by this post. I didn't comment, but instead left it open all evening. I kept coming back and reading again about lace curtains and old books while I gazed at gorgeous roses. Yours were the last words I read last night before I went to bed. I dreamed the sweetest, most beautiful dreams. And came back this morning to thank you.
How do I order this photo for a wall? (First one on Les Roses Antiques)
Hi Tracy, Thank you! I’ve emailed you separately.
