I do believe that most of us are ever mindful of our many daily blessings, the aspects of life – the major or the inconsequential – that fill us with gratitude, our families and the people that inspire us to be better, kinder, stronger and braver in our dealings with others.
And these accountings come most to the fore during the holidays, the days that seem a mad rush but also offer times of reflection and appreciation. Year’s end, a quiet roll call of the good and fortunate occurrences and encounters that tip the scale toward happiness and allow us to ink them in on the plus side of the ledger and tally them up to a positive balance.
This year I have more reasons to be grateful for than ever and each of you that visit and comment so generously are high among them. It is a pleasure and a privilege that you welcome me into your lives.
On this eve of Thanksgiving, I thank you for your continued kind thoughts and good wishes, most recently regarding our sudden snowbound status, which is mostly unchanged tonight. We are tucked inside, editing photos and listening to an audio CD of PG Wodehouse, filling the frosty night with mirth as the moon sets the white mantled garden aglow.
And with the holiday season now well upon us, and gift wrapping a prominent activity, I thought you might like some festive gift tags to accompany your packages. I created these from a few of my rose photographs, vintage bird illustrations and scrapbook paper backgrounds that I designed last year. So, as promised, a holiday download for you, along with my gratitude to you for being who you are, for striving to be better and for sharing your unique selves with the world.
Below is what the Holiday Gift Tags look like and they can be downloaded here. I hope you enjoy them!
(Please note, as previously, this is for personal and not commercial usage. The link will be active until 31 December 2010.)
I have also been busy putting lots of new prints in my shop. I didn’t get a fraction of the new items completed that I wanted to, but that is what next year is for, isn’t it?
I love that I’ve gotten Thanksgiving wishes from Canada, London, Sweden, Finland, France, Italy, India, Australia, South Africa and more. We truly have an international community where holidays are shared and celebrations rejoiced by all. Isn’t that wonderful?
Happy Thanksgiving to each of you, dear friends!
love,
– g

Hi G, Your generosity is wonderful, I came blogging hopping tonight, hoping it would help my anger with my family over misunderstandings no one to solve and here you are be so generous. I am humbled, thank you. I love the gift tags. Take care and have a fantastic weekend my friend. hugs Jen
Hi G
Thank you for the charming gift tags, you're a generous woman that truly appreciates your 'followers' so to speak.
At least your power is still on so you can work while snowbound, a good chance to get caught up on things we tend to leave for a rainy day – or in your case 'snowy days'.
Judith
Dear Georgianna, I didn't know the day Thanksgiving is celebrated, so I am a bit late with congratulations. Anyway, Happy prolonged Thanksgiving!:)
Thank you for these wonderful gift tags, I will download them anyway, they are so charming to accompany any gift items:)
My warmest wishes for you and your family!
Hugs,
Zara
Georgianna! thankyou so much….I quickly replaced my plain paper with some card stock and printed just enough for my sweet girlfriends! What FUN! and such a treat…you are a blessing in my life…and I am grateful, thank you again…smiles…

I love this beautifully written post dear G. I whole heartedly agree that everyone I meet here bless my life. You and your gifts have certainly blessed me and inspired me in so many ways.
Thank you for the use of these gorgeouse tags. They are so lovely. I don't think you can get better than bird and bloom.
I loved your snowbound post. Your photos are all so beautiful of the 'white stuff'. We also got snowed in for a couple of days. Many of the roads around us were closed because of blowing snow. We are supposed to get more tomorrow, so I will hunker down by the fire with a good book.
I hope your Thanksgiving was just perfect.
hugs to you…
very happy thanks giving to you, your family and friends, Georgianna :) thank you for this beautiful gift !! and i wish it was snowing and looked as beautiful here in Bordeaux too ! enjoy this white loveliness :)
Your gift tags are beautiful Georgianna ♥ as are your snowy photos. We don't have as much snow ~ but it has been falling steadily since early this morning. I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful ♥

For our friendship
And for your blog
And I'm thankful that Hillhaven is so beautiful
And that you share it's beauty with us around the world
Love kat xx
It touches me that you would let us print these exquisite gift tags. I am a person who still wraps (no gift bags) gifts and I have the most beautiful paper, but with no gift tags to match. Now I do…
I order my paper from Packaging Specialties (http://www.pkgspec.com/) out of Seattle, Washington. They have a beautiful selection…
May you have a blessed week.
What a beautiful post Georgianna, and thank you so much for the lovely gift tags. They will definitely be decorating my holiday gifts this year.
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
lisa.
You are so kind and generous G to share so much! These are beautiful and I'm looking forward to printing them. Thank you so very much!
Love the snow images! You have made such good use of nature's surprise. It was a delight to enjoy looking at them and thinking of you having Thanksgiving with snow covering everything!
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and was spent at my aunt Martha's, close to the NC mountains. Everyone brings a dish, and I usually make cranberry relish. It's a good thing the recipe makes a lot so there is enough left after I've done several "tastings" all week to make sure it was just right!
Thanks for your visits and I'm looking forward to my next visit here!
Love, Dianne
hi georgianna! well, i just love the gift tags so much. you are so sweet to make those for us! and your lovely words just warm my heart…..but to come here and see your scrumptious snow images is such a treat for me, as i am dreaming of the white stuff. i love how the white carpet shows off the bones of a garden and covers everything with soft sparkle. i am hoping for some really good snow falls this year. those poor little hummers…..how unusual for them, perhaps they should head south?
i look forward to more beauty from you, always.
erin
oh my G!! those tags are just FULLL of beauty!! i love the colors and designs!!
