Bonjour, mes amis! Today is the release of a new book, Paris in Stride, that will be a beautiful addition to every Francophile’s library. Illustrator Jessie Kanelos Weiner and writer Sarah Moroz, both Parisian residents, have created a colorful and inspiring guide with curated walking tours to their favorite locations in the city.
Each tour is accompanied by a map showing the featured destinations. The authors invite you to “consider us your Paris friends who know the lay of the land.”
I was very happy to see many of my favorite gardens, cafes and museums, that I’ve shared with you here in the past, included in the guide. Above is Montmartre and below, the famous Cafe de Flore and Les Deux Magots.
Paired with cultural observations, histories, anecdotes and delightful details, Paris in Stride is as informative as it is practical and pretty. It’s the perfect size to drop in your purse as you stroll the beautiful streets of Paris!
Published by Rizzoli, it’s available at Amazon and wherever fine books are sold.

What a great way to invite ambulatory exploration of Paris. Very cute illustrations and friendly style! When it comes right down to it, walking – lots of walking – is the best way to really enjoy Paris to the full so a book that encourages and inspires lots of walking is a real boon!
