Well, my friends, exactly one year ago today my book Paris in Bloom was released! It was a whirlwind spring and summer with a number of release events and book signings in Paris and the States. You can read about some of the events here and here.
At our rented apartment in Paris last spring, I signed hundreds of books for the media and guests.
The book was the #1 new release in each of its three categories on Amazon and has remained a bestseller. Following the very successful book release, the Paris in Bloom Stationery Collection of gold-stamped notebooks, a gold-embossed Journal de Gratitude and a note card set in a keepsake gilded box were launched last August. I am so thankful to my agent, Kate Woodrow, and my editors and publisher at Abrams Books for believing in this project and helping me bring it to the world.
I’ve been truly overwhelmed with your response, support, blog posts, reviews and social media sharing of the book since its release. Under the hashtags #parisinbloom and #parisinbloombook, you’ve created a global community where you’ve posted your styled shots of the book from literally everywhere, including Japan, Moscow, Monaco, Australia, Spain, Canada, Italy, Sweden and many, many more countries. Here are just a few of the beautiful images you’ve created and shared:
Top to bottom, left to right: @koko_secretrainbowpath, @villadeluxeboutique, @_hello_g_, @kaizersvioleta, @thedizzybee, @esseltea, @alexandreagarza, @tcugumy, @westmountfashionista, @koko_secretrainbowpath, @crinkelhuset and @koko_secretrainbowpath (the most dedicated fan from Japan!)

I’ve been to Paris several times and it is by far the best city in the world in my opinion! I remember stepping off the metro for the first time in the middle of the city and at that moment in time my life changed forever. It was definitely a Carrie Bradshaw moment. Wandering the streets without a plan is my favorite way to enjoy the city and to take in its beauty. Finding sweet little bakeries is always a bonus too! I’ve told my mom so many stories about the city and how beautiful it is and my biggest wish would be to visit there with her so she could experience it too.
I’d love to take my mom to Paris as she’s never been!

We have your beautiful book on our coffee table and she looks at it all the time! We live in Pennsylvania but everytime she sees a pretty building with character or anything the shape of the Eiffel Tower she says, “PARIS!” I tell her all the time that one day we’ll go there. (I’ll start saving now!) I’ve only been there one time but your pictures capture everything I loved about it. The most beautiful city in the world.

Hi Georgianna!
Thank you for the opportunity to enter this competition. Since we are based on Australia, it’s always been a dream of my 9 year old daughter to take me to Paris one day. And funny enough, before she was born, I had always said the same thing to my mother!
So I guess my answer is I would take both my daughter and my mother, then we could all keep a little piece of Paris in our hearts. Thank you. xx
I would love to take my mother to enjoy all the flowers with me!! 💐
My daughter, Lisa, since she studied French & spent her junior college year there. I visited her and just love Paris because of her!

I would love to go back to Paris with my husband as He took me there when we were first together 40 years ago! We have been back since but not for a good few years☹️
Definitely my Mother. She loves beautiful things and places but always has put our happiness and success first- I don’t think she has ever had the opportunity to sit and enjoy something just for herself without worrying her whether the person sitting next to her is having a good time!
It’s been a dream of mine my whole life and I’m 60 years old to go to Paris. I would take my husband so we could have a wonderful trip together and share my dream. Your book captures so much beauty of Paris. Thank you so much just for the opportunity. Joan

I have been to Paris many times and it will always be my favorite place to visit. I would love to gift the daughter of a dear friend who has recently been diagnosed with metastatic cancer. Her 32 birthday is soon, and it would allow her to travel with her husband to a dream vacation.
I would love to take a friend of mine who loves France as much as I do if I were to go to Paris! It would bs more fun that way—swapping ideas abour where to go and what to see because we’d both have already read about it for a long time to already know where we want to go there.

I would love to take my mom! She’s not much of an traveller but maybe your book can persuade her, I absoulutely love it! 😊
I would love to go to Paris with my cousin. We both have been to the city once and fell in love with it and I would love to experience it again together
I visit Paris often. I love Paris, I love every corner of it, every scent of the city, every new place I discover each time I am there. But I have never been able to convince my mother to join me for a weekend break. Unfortunately, Paris to her is a reminiscence of a very tragic moment of her family’s history. She lost her sister there while my grandfather took them on their dream trip of a lifetime and Paris has become the synonym of pain and broken hearts for life. Many many years have passed after this tragedy but still my family and I have not managed to convince her to revisit. Although she loves every picture I show her, every new fashion trend we disucss, I cannot break through this iron wall of hers.
Your blog and posts are always so inspiring and beautiful. And I keep believing that through these stunning images and the beauty you share with us all, some magic can still happen ❤️💐!
Congrats on the anniversary of your book release! Its such an amazing book with gorgeous photos, its no wonder that its been a hit in multiple countries! I would love to take my sister to Paris. We love to travel and nothing beats traveling around the world with your best friend.

Luke, my very soon to be husband!!!
Ooh la la! I would love to take my husband to the City of Light for our 30th anniversary this May💖💐! He’s the hardest working person I know, such a wonderful husband and father.
I would love to make it back to Paris with my friend Jessica, who also loves your work! We’ve both been to Paris only once for a short trip, but thanks to your book we’re able to go back mentally and plan out our next fabulous visit 💕
As always, And for the third time, I’d take my beautiful younger sister. We balance each other and see twice as much!🌸

Georgianna, your images take my breath away and provide me with so much inspiration whether it be in colour palettes, flower arrangements or placement of objects in photographs. I have never been to Paris before but it is my dream to one day travel there and take in its history and beauty – for now I have your beautiful photographs for that. I feel as though I live through your images and wake up smiling knowing that there will be a new image on my Instagram feed that takes me to a new part of France or allows me to look at the exquisite details of a building, a historical monument or the everyday lives of a Parisian. I would love to go to Paris with my friend who is also named Sarah. We both have a love for the city yet we both live far away from one another so I would love to one day be able to travel there with her so we could experience the beauty and sites together. Thank you for this opportunity and congratulations on the success of your book. Cannot wait to see what you do next. Much love xx
Paris is on the top of my bucket list! I would bring my husband of 29 years this June. We have been together 37 years (high school sweethearts) Paris had always been a dream for me and your beautiful book has made me long for it even more! My fingers, toes, arms and eyes are all crossed!! 🤞🏻
Congrats on the anniversary. This is my absolute fav book and I would love to visit Paris with hubby and son.
Well, starting in the land of fantasy, my first choice would be my late great-grandmother. She was a flapper and a strong woman, but with a sense of humour and style. We had such grand adventures when I was wee, and it would be such a joy to take to the wonderful jazz clubs, the Lost Generation hangouts, and to sit sipping wine and watching people. My last visit I was at Le Caveau des Huchettes for a swing band and there was an absolutely ancient man who was the best dancer there. I want that for her.
Or in the land of living, my son who is deeply into history and military history. He’s love the cemeteries and Invalides.
Félicitations! Congratulations! I would want to take my dad to Paris. It’s my favourite city in the world, and I know it’s one of his… we’ve just never been there together. I know it’s one of his dearest wishes to be able to visit the city with his French-speaking daughter. He’s also such an amazing photographer, and I would absolutely love wandering through Paris with him, seeing the city through his lens – and having the opportunity to learn from him.
Congratulations on the anniversary of your book launch 🎉🎉🎉 Wow, it has been a year already? Time flies😁😁😁 I enjoyed reading your book that is so colorful and beautiful. I will love to take my sister to Paris😁😁😁 Paris is and will always be my favorite city to visit😂😁😁 I love everything about the City of Lights!!!
I’ve always dreamed of going to Paris! I would take my sister, it would be a blessed trip.
Congratulations! I would love to take my daughter as she and I would to visit the city of fashion and design together.
So much to explore!
I would take my workmate Ange, we always joke when something difficult happens at work “if we leave now… we can be in Paris by the weekend”… it would be wonderful if instead we could seek comfort in your book. ☺️
The timing of this chance to win is so hopeful . I live in American with my family. My mother lived in England. 15 years ago she was run over by a drunken driver. Trapped helplessly in her broken, paralyzed body with a sharp mind, my siblings and I made time with her a priority so gave up all vacations so we could dedicate all vacation time and trips to spend time with her. It was the right thing to do. But deprived my children of vacations. And also me. Last month I decided to treat my daughter to a trip as she had earned her Master’s two years ago. A trip to Paris together was our dream. I bought our tickets, flying first to England to spend Mother’s Day with my Mum. And then onto Paris . We were both giddy with antipation, sharing photos with each other of places in Paris we hoped to go. This is the week we would have been there. We hoped to see the cherry trees coming into bud. But two weeks before we were to leave I received a call my Mum had yet another emergency and this time would not last more than a day . I had to buy a totally different plane ticket as there wasn’t time to try to transfer. I did make it in time to see my Mum before she passed which was a precious gift . But , have only just come back after her funeral and am now in midst of begging airlines to let us use those plane tickets to France for a future date so the cost of them didn’t go to waste and so we can hopefully fulfill our dream to see Paris togehther one day. For now , seeing it through your eyes gives me hope 🌸
Would love to go on a girltrip with my bestie . We love going on trips and enjoy beautiful sceneries and taking pictures of beautiful things. I’ve alway been Paris obsessed and She’s been through a lot this year relationship wise and I think we both could use a nice getway and create new memories together. 💕
My Son, Callum who is 10! His love of drawing and buildings would be in full bloom in Paris…
I would love to bring my sweet niece with me to France! We’ve always dreamed of a trip like this. Her mama (my sister) has brain cancer and has had several strokes. She will never travel again. But, she could travel vicariously through us! 💕
Congratulations on the first Anniversary of this gorgeous book. I’ve always wanted to go to Paris with my husband but since this book I can’t stop thinking about it. We need to make it happen. Life is short. Something always gets in the way. We have had a few health issues in the last few years. My heart surgery being the latest but it proves that life is way too short. We need to enjoy life and enjoy new places every chance we get.
So Paris, next year is our 30th Wedding Anniversary so where better than Paris, the most romantic City in the world go spend it!

Bonjour, Georgianna,

Just the other evening my beautiful younger sister who lives in Germany and I were discussing our next Parisian adventure!
Our sojourns to Paris are always too short and we vow to return to the city of lights once again and sooner rather than later we declare!
So as we were reminiscing the other evening she said ‘third times a charm’ in that our third trip to Paris would be even better than the last two trips! How wonderful and grateful we are to amazing people like you for opening our eyes to all that Paris has to offer with your visual beauty which is captured with such magnificence that we cannot be nothing but even further seduced by the city of Paris! And with this I wish to advise that I would once again choose the take my sister! 💕

Hi Georgiana, your work is so opulently beautiful — it is always such a pleasure to read your new posts and drink in your new photographs.
I would love to take my dear friend Arletta to Paris. Several years ago we took drawing and painting classes from realist painter, David Gray in Tacoma and spent hours and hours commuting from our homes in Port Townsend with each other. Our tastes are so similar and whenever we get together we have so many new discoveries to share in art and classical music and rococo and baroque design. We never get tired talking with each other and I hope one day we can travel all over Europe with each other.
Thank you so much for your giveaway!
What a lovely give away and I am so happy you have had such success with this lovely book. (I bought your book, Vintage Roses for my bday, 1st day of spring, instead.)
It would be a wonderful win.
My late husband and I were in Paris in the spring of 1973, on our 60 day trip around Europe before coming back to the US after living in Spain for 3 years while he was in the US Navy.
He is who I’d love to revisit Paris with, but alas. I have wonderful memories of our time there.
Happy Spring and Easter ~ FlowerLady

One must see it, taste it, hear it and feel it in person to understand its power and beauty.
Would love to visit the city with my friend Leah. We both love travel & exploring. Vive la France 🇫🇷
I would love to take my mom. She gave up so much to raise us kids and to see her in awe (as myself) and be able to take her there would just cover 1% of what she has done for me.

I would love to take my dear friend Taylor. She speaks French, loves the color pink, and would probably live inside your book if it was possible. For years, she has been battling brain cancer, and yet is still persevering in her pursuit of a PhD in clinical psychology. One of those people who humbly denies being inspiring, but she really is! If I could take her to Paris, we’d be there already.
My Hubby….it’s always been my dream to visit Paris and finally in August my dream will come true. Oz to Paris💗💗
My dad passed away over 14 years ago, and not a day goes by, that I don’t miss him terribly. I would take him to Paris in a heartbeat, and soak in the joy and happiness of the best person in one of the best cities.

She’s my favorite person on this planet and even though we won’t ever be see the city together for real, it’s fun to dream!!! Congrats on the 1 year! :)
I would have to put names in a hat. Too hard to chose. I bought your lovely book to give my daughter for her first mother’s day last year (since her first child, my first grandchild) was conceived in Paris (likely TMI). He now has a wonderful wonderful nanny from France & is becoming bi-lingual. I love his cheery little voice calling for “Maman”. Obviously his name would be in the hat.
Thank you for your fabulous work.
I would take one of my fabulous single girlfriends, namely Nicky from London, U.K… The Atlantic Ocean keeps us from seeing each other as often as we’d like!
We’d chat about art + life at amazing Parisian cafés + bistros, enjoying café crèmes and rich wines from Bordeaux. Of course we’d also stroll around the entire city, which will be “in bloom” 😉😉😉

I would take my niece on a trip to paris. When I wasn’t about her age (14) someone made it possible for me to go to Europe for the first time and it changed my life forever. It opened my eyes to a new culture, experience and it made mundo discover my love of traveling.
I would love to take my mom, sister and daughters to Paris for a girl’s trip. We were suppose to meet there years ago and weren’t able to. It would be so special for all of us.
