The above is actually an outtake of a shoot I did this evening, just an hour or so ago. The intention was to create images to be used for magazine covers, which have specific requirements, such as having the top 1/3 of the image uncluttered for the magazine logo, as well as clear areas on the sides for copy lines.
I had decided not to shoot tonight as I has spent much of the day getting 1,000 new images packaged up and sent to our rep in Australia. However, the lure of the evening light and bushes heavy with roses was too much. I went out, quickly cut some fresh blooms and grabbed the sweet peas out of another jar where I stuffed them for shooting later. The whole project was impromptu. I shot about 40 frames in 10 minutes.
