It was supposed to rain today.
I’d prepared a list of indoor activities.
Which promptly got thrown out one of the many windows, that had been thrown open due to the brilliance of the sky and the golden light caressing the garden.
What was I to do?
Perhaps photograph some hydrangeas? Hmm. How about lining them up on the picket fence gate leading to the hydrangea walk? That’s a silly enough idea for this playful gift of a day.
Silly me. But it was such fun!

My poor hydraneas are droopy and turning brown. This is gorgeous! How did you keep them healthy for so long? I love your photos. They're just beautiful.

Hello Georgianna!

Take care,

You know, don't you, that hydrangeas are second in my love only to peonies and ranunculus. Right? And mason jars and picket fences and purple bikes?? Heaven, I'm in heaven – even without someone to dance with cheek to cheek. WOW!
