Hello, dear friends! This spring I’ve had the opportunity to create new images for clients utilizing the abundance of peonies in the markets in styled settings in the new apartment. Perhaps I’ve gone a bit overboard with purchasing flowers but having a studio in Paris has been such a long-held dream that I’m indulging myself a little.
Early in the spring, peonies are quite expensive but now, as the season draws to a close, they are quite affordable, about one euro ($1.15) per stem.
I created this new image for the shop once I was finished with the bouquet versions.
As it’s been unusually hot and humid for June, I’ve employed my old trick of emptying the fridge of shelving and keeping the flowers in there overnight. Doing this has extended the life of the flowers for at least an additional week and enabled me to continue to create new images with them.
It’s been a great joy to work with so many of these luscious blooms and I certainly am grateful. But I must admit, I’m also looking forward to rose season!
Wishing you a beautiful summer.
With love,
G
